‘Gasthaus zum 7. Turm’ opens its doors for the Hanseatic Culture Festival in the St. Jakobi Brewers' Chapel

When the Hanseatic Culture Festival drops anchor in Lübeck’s Seafarers’ Quarter at the start of June, the 7Türme+ Foundation invites you to a special stopover in St. Jakobi: for three days, the historic Brewers' Chapel will be transformed into the ‘Gasthaus zum 7. Turm’ — a small tavern with a Hanseatic atmosphere.

Together with St. Jakobi zu Lübeck, 7Türme+ will be serving selected wines from the exclusive “Sieben Türme” edition of the traditional wine merchant H. F. von Melle: a typical Lübeck Rotspon and a fresh Pinot Gris — perfect for summer festival evenings. These are accompanied by pretzel confectionery and handmade “Sieben Türme” biscuits in the shape of a rooster in sweet and savoury varieties.

With every glass and every biscuit, visitors are also supporting a good cause: all proceeds go towards the work of the 7Türme+ Foundation and the measures to save the weathercock of St. Jakobi.

The “Gasthaus zum 7. Turm” is open:
Friday, 5 June 2026, from 5 pm to 11 pm,
Saturday, 6 June 2026, from 11 am to 11 pm,
Sunday, 7 June 2026, from 11 am to 6 pm

The 7Türme+ Foundation looks forward to welcoming many guests, enjoying good conversation and making a joint stand for the preservation of Lübeck’s old town churches.
