Lübeck’s old town churches need help. The 7Türme+ Foundation has been set up to bridge financial gaps and ensure that St Mary’s, the Cathedral, St Aegidien, St Petri and St Jakobi are preserved for future generations. St Mary’s in Lübeck was last thoroughly renovated 70 years ago. Liane Kreuzer, head of the building department at the Lübeck-Lauenburg church district, Ralf Nagel, project manager at 7Türme+, and Christian Rosehr, chair of the parish council at St Mary’s, showed journalists from Norddeutscher Rundfunk where there is a particularly urgent need for action.
