New sales promotion by Niederegger for the preservation of the five historic churches in Lübeck's old town

At the traditional Café Niederegger, a new support project was introduced on July 12, 2024, aimed at preserving the five historic churches in Lübeck's old town. Theresa Mehrens-Strait, the managing partner of Niederegger, presented the sales promotion together with Lübeck's provost Petra Kallies. The proceeds from this promotion will benefit the newly established 7Türme+ Foundation. For each package sold, the company will donate one euro to the foundation.

The seven church towers are a distinctive feature of Lübeck's cityscape and attract numerous tourists. "As a Lübeck-based traditional company, whose main building is surrounded by the churches in the city center, it is a matter close to our hearts  to support the preservation of the churches. In cooperation with the planned 7Türme+ Foundation, we want to actively contribute to the preservation and renovation efforts with our new sponsorship project," explained Theresa Mehrens-Strait regarding Niederegger's commitment.

Provost Petra Kallies added, "The seven towers of the five historic churches in Lübeck's old town and marzipan clearly belong together. I am pleased that Niederegger not only wants to support the work of the planned 7Türme+ Foundation financially with one euro per pack sold from their classic edition, but are also happy to prominently highlight this major project to raise awareness among locals and tourists alike for the new 7Türme+ Foundation. One thing is clear: the permanent preservation of the five iconic church buildings is a communal task."

A particularly suitable product line from the Niederegger range was selected for the support. The packaging of the 200 g pack is designed with famous Lübeck motifs, including the church towers, and contains the marzipan classics. This pack is a popular souvenir for both tourists and Lübeck residents and is available in all Niederegger stores in Lübeck and Travemünde.
