Eva Almstädt’s launch reading at St Mary’s Church in Lübeck – the 7Türme+ Foundation benefits from a fundraising campaign

On 31 March 2026, a special premiere reading will take place at St Mary’s Church in Lübeck: bestselling author Eva Almstädt will present her new Baltic Sea crime novel, *Ostseehölle*, for the first time, in which St Mary’s itself plays a central role: the plot begins with a spectacular discovery – a body found in the church.

Despite this sombre literary opening, guests can look forward to an atmospheric evening’s programme. The admission price includes a hot drink, served in a 7Türme+ mug, which guests can take home as a souvenir.

Support for the 7Türme+ Foundation

The reading is organised by the Lübeck Literature Forum. As part of this collaboration, the 7Türme+ Foundation will also receive a donation from ticket sales. In addition, all proceeds from drinks sold during the intervals will go towards restoration projects aimed at preserving the five churches in Lübeck’s city centre, including St. Marien, Lübeck Cathedral and St. Jakobi.

The foundation will be presenting itself and its work at a small information stand in the church (at the ‘crime scene’) on the sidelines of the event.
