Ralf Nagel's Connection to the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and its Cultural Heritage

Nagel, born in 1959 in Karlsruhe, is married and has three children. He brings not only his professional expertise but also a rapidly grown connection to the city of Lübeck. "I have been living in the Hanseatic city for seven years, and together with my family, I feel very comfortable and at home. I want to help ensure that the wonderful, invaluable cultural heritage of this city is preserved for today's and future generations." Moreover, this heritage should continue to be joyfully and vibrantly used for art, music, exhibitions, and visitors, according to Nagel. "These are churches, but their significance and value go far beyond the ecclesiastical. We are talking about a unique cultural heritage for the city, for Schleswig-Holstein, for Germany, and for the world."

Nagel is pleased to join the large circle of people who have long been committed with much passion to Lübeck's World Heritage. "I am always impressed anew by the dedication and appreciation with which people at various levels are committed to the seven towers and the five old town churches as defining structures of the World Heritage."
